Mar 13th, 2004 - East Lancs Railway with David and Rach [Previously]

Had a great time at the East Lancs Railway. Me, David and Rach took the train from Bury to Rawtenstall and David made a video of our trip. We played it back later and it was really good and really funny too!

We got a family ticket and travelled there and back by steam train. It was raining in Rawtenstall so we got something to eat at the station and warmed ourselves around the coal fire in the waiting room.

On the way back we got to sit in a compartment in an old carriage like in Harry Potter. It was sooo relaxing. If anything the journey was too short. We all loved it though.

David bought a train whistle and it sounds like the real thing!

Would love to go to one of the events though. The War weekend is apparently well worth the journey!
