HTML Crib Sheet

A Little Bit Of History

Back in 1994 a student at the Information Technology Institute became aware of the World Wide Web and the new graphical way of browsing information across diverse networks. This information was available as text, images and video and presented in one place using a simple markup language.

This student was I, Steve Cunio. I began my move from multimedia guru to World Wide Web pioneer, quite literally that year. Liasing with others in academia across the Internet sharing our ideas and experience to develop each others ideas and aspirations. Little wonder then that some of those were directed to the guys at Stanford University who later became the millionaires at Yahoo! My only gripe being that I tried in vain to do the same here at Salford. To these people I wasn't an intelligent person but just a student and students were 'not allowed access to the servers'. How many other great ideas have bit the dust in such a fashion is anyones guess.

Of course I'm happy with my life now but a few million would definitely not go amiss, just so I could do even more good work lol. :)

One of the main products of this time was the HTML Crib Sheet that I put together as a free resource for all to use. It was the first of its kind and circulated on the Internet to places I don't even know. The web was built on free advice such as this and the benefits of the freedom one can enjoy on the Internet must surely outway any negative results of such freedom.

I've found a copy of the original crib sheet by doing an Internet search and it can be just as valuable today to anyone wishing to code in HTML. In any case you could certainly blag it as it's as simple as cut and paste with this!

Here's the HTML Crib Sheet as a text document. Simply Save As Text. Enjoy! :)
