I: Steven CunioGardening - getting readyIt's April 2004 and it's been 2 years since I first attempted to do the garden before a myserious lawnmowing neighbour mowed down my meadow. It's taken 2 years for things to come through again and already the bees have returned. Whilst I leave the main area of the garden to grow and blossom I am busy weeding the edges where I hope to grow useful things like vegetables and herbs. I make my own soups nowadays with David and it seemed the logical next step to actually grow the ingredients ourselves, removing them from the ground when needed. My friend Jaki sent me the instructions on how to deal with the soil, weed it out, air it and how to deal with things you find. Things like beetles, worms, worm eggs etc. When me and Rach dug in we found much more -- millipedes, baby worms and a commune of snails!
